The Midland Pipes and Drums recently experienced a great loss with the death of long time lead-tip, Neil Craig.

Neil succombed to cancer on May 10, 2025, after over six decades of volunteer service to the community.
He was an incredible mentor to the band's snare section and always participated in band events with commitment, accuracy and a warm smile.  Neil will be dearly missed by all members.

On June 3, 2025, the band also learned of the passing of retired snare drummer, Tom Zummach.  Tom decidated many years to the band and hung up his sticks to spend more time with family.  Tom was always a positive supporter of the band, even in his retirement.  
Rest in Peace, Tom.  We will miss you.
